Tags and segmentation
Tags are free-form labels you apply to members. They let you filter, segment, trigger pricing rules or target communications.
Create tags
Admin panel → Organization → Member tags.
Each tag has:
- A name (e.g. Competitor, Board, Alumni).
- A color (for quick visual scan).
- An optional description.
Apply a tag
On the member profile, main tab → Tags block. Multi-select.
You can also:
- Bulk tag: members list → selection → action Add tag.
- Filter the members list by tag.
Use case — discount for competitors
You want members tagged Competitor to pay €10 less on the adult plan.
- Create the Competitor tag.
- Create a pricing rule on the adult plan:
- Condition:
has_tag = Competitor. - Discount: -€10 (FixedAmount).
- Condition:
- Every tagged member on that plan automatically gets the adjusted price.
Use case — targeted email to parents
Tag Parent on every member whose kids train at your dojo. When you send an org email (Communication → Compose), filter by tag Parent.
Use case — export the board list
Filter by tag Board → CSV export. Handy for your AGM prep.
Tag vs discipline vs role
| Concept | Definition | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Discipline | Practiced martial art | Judo, BJJ |
| Tag | Free label, segmentation | Competitor, VIP, Parent |
| Staff role | Admin-panel permission | Owner, Coach |
A member can have 0..n tags, 1..n disciplines, and 0..1 staff role (if they're on your team).
